Who We Are

A Family Called Hope.

We are a diverse church family that teaches, sings, and lives the Gospel together in order to share the hope of Jesus with the South Bay.

Teaching the Gospel

We teach God's Word directly from the Bible in clear, everyday language, emphasizing sound theology and practical application.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Singing the Gospel

We express our gratitude to God through singing and giving with joyful hearts.

Ephesians 5:19
addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,

Living the Gospel

We do life together in small groups called MiniChurch where the development of authentic relationships that allow us to love and care for one another are realized. We see MiniChurches as a pathway to building community and helping people grow in their understanding and application of God's direction in our lives.

Hope Chapel Code - Our Core Values

Jesus First

We exist to glorify Him and to make Him known both locally and globally.

Last Place is First Place

We serve the King. We don’t rule our own little kingdoms. At Hope, we continually strive to die to ourselves daily, and place the needs of others before our own.

Life Together

We do life together in small communities called MiniChurch. We pray for one another. We build each other up. We carry one another’s burdens. We offer help when a fellow brother or sister is in need.

Members are Ministers

Pastors and Elders are not the only ministers at Hope. We all exercise our unique Spiritual Gifts to effectively minister to and serve one another to bring God glory.

Not on Our Watch

We have a sense of urgency to share the hope and salvation found only in Jesus to all who are perishing (Rev. 20:11-15). It is our responsibility as a local church to promote the Gospel in fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:16-20).

Sola Scriptura

The Bible is our rock of truth. God’s Word is alive and unchanging. We do not water it down. We do not shy away from it’s sharp edges. We believe that it is God’s Word, not ours. Therefore, it is our responsibility to teach it, proclaim it, to herald it in our times of meeting together.

All In

We stand united with both feet firmly planted in our faith in Jesus. We do not conform to the patterns of this world. We are sold out for Christ!

We are a Singing People

Dead people don’t sing. We sing because we are alive in Christ.
