Koinonia

“Koinonia” is a Greek word meaning fellowship or sharing or partnership. Hope Chapel’s Koinonia ministry provides people 45 years old and over an opportunity to fellowship with other Christians who have graduated from the tension of school, young children, and career development.

"

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

Philippians 1:3–4

ABOUT US

Koinonia provides an opportunity for mature adults to fellowship and participate in ministry opportunities with others. We also welcome people from other churches which do not offer a fellowship ministry for mature members.

FELLOWSHIP

Potluck Lunches

We have a potluck lunch on the third Sunday of each month at 2pm. We also have worship music, a message, and opportunities to see old friends. If you can’t bring a potluck dish, come anyway!

Local Trips & Events

We also sponsor various trips and events during the year. Koinonia has arranged visits to the Regan Library, the Orange County Fair, the Museum of Tolerance, the Christmas lighting at the Riverside Mission Inn, and numerous other activities.

SERVING THE BODY

Active participation is encouraged. Koinonia members fill many ministry positions including serving as greeters, teachers, Elders, event volunteers, MiniChurch shepherds, amongst other roles.
