2019 Hume Lake Camp - Jr. High

Category: Youth

Leaders: Pastors Nick Turner and Emily Jones

Location: Hume Lake Christian Camp

Meets: Sunday, August 4th - Saturday, August 10th, 2019

Come join us at Hume Lake this summer as we dive into the question, “What does it mean to follow Christ?” This summer we want students to understand that Christ followers… follow Christ. Although many people in our culture have identified as a “Christian”, there is often a misunderstanding of how Jesus defines following. Even the earliest followers of Christ wrestled with the same questions we face today: “How do we follow a God we cannot see?” We will see how Jesus himself answers this question, and enables us to follow Him through His Spirit and the Church.

GALATIANS 2:20 (THEME VERSE) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Camp cost: $575; $100 non-refundable deposit required to save your spot!

Registration closes June 25th. Contact Holly at holly.kisaka@hopechapel.org for questions.

What to bring:
Bible, notebook, pencil, flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, warm and cool clothes, jacket, sandals, athletic shoes, modest one-piece swimsuit (no tankinis), & $70 spending money.

What NOT to bring:
Drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor), alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, firearms, weapons, or electronic devices. Girls: no short shorts, bare midriffs, yoga/spandex pants or spaghetti straps. Boys: no sagging of pants and you must always keep your shirt on unless you are in the pool or lake.
