Mike Nazarian

Teaching Pastor

Mike is a South Bay native who grew up in Redondo Beach and graduated from Redondo Union High School. He has a strong heart and a clear vision for the role of Hope Chapel as a local church in our community.

After graduating from Long Beach State with a B.S. in Computer Science and Philosophy, he worked as a software engineer and as an entrepreneur. In his late twenties, a season of soul searching led Mike to enroll at Talbot School of Theology where he earned an M.A. in New Testament. God used this season of study and searching to shape Mike’s heart for service at Hope. In response to God’s overwhelming grace, Mike took a step of faith into vocational ministry and he hasn’t looked back.

Mike and his wife Jacqui met and married at Hope Chapel and have two children, Zoë and Zac. His absolute favorite time in the world is his time with them. And in all the free time that he doesn’t really have, Mike enjoys reading, basketball, and surfing. He is an ardent fan and outspoken supporter of USC football. He also very much appreciates the Lakers and the Dodgers.

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
