Technical Ministries

Serving through the audio and visual arts

 

The purpose of the Technical Ministries is to use our gifts/talents to serve the Lord and the people called Hope Chapel. The various technical ministries include Audio, Lighting, Multimedia Projection, Photography, and Video. No experience is necessary to join any of these ministries as we provide training.

Purpose

Service teams & tech support

The purpose of the audio ministry is to provide excellent audio coverage and recording of worship services and other events in the auditorium. There is no experience necessary to get involved in this ministry. The minimum ministry involvement is twice a month.

The Responsibilities include:
Set up and tear down of audio/stage equipment.
Assist with the sound check.
Operation of the auditorium sound system and/or recording studio equipment.

Areas of service include:
Weekend Services (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday mornings)
Jr. or Sr. High Youth Service. (Tuesday and Thursday evenings)
Various classes and events that meet on the auditorium.

Media Arts Ministry

The purpose of the Media Arts Ministry is to tell the story of life and ministry at Hope Chapel through images and video.

Every trimester we offer a class that trains those interested in this area of ministry.

Event Production Staging and Lighting Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to provide production support in all areas pertaining to presentation, stage layout, lighting, technical and program coordination at our main events including our weekly services. There is no experience necessary to get involved in this ministry. The involvement in this ministry varies.

The Responsibilities include:
Hanging and focusing light fixtures.
Operation of the lighting system.
Replace burned out light bulbs.

Areas of service include:
Weekend Services (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning)
Various classes and events that meet on the auditorium.

Multimedia Ministry

The purpose of the multimedia ministry is to provide excellent projection of song lyrics, sermon notes, and theme slides. There is no experience necessary to get involved in this ministry. The minimum ministry involvement is twice a month.

The Responsibilities include:
Operate the computer controlled projection system.

Areas of service include:
Weekend Services (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning)
Jr. or Sr. High Youth Services (Tuesday and Thursday evenings)
Various classes and events that meet on the auditorium.

Video Ministry

The purpose of the video ministry is to videotape the Saturday service for broadcast on cable TV as well as handle videotaping of various events. There is no experience necessary to get involved in this ministry. The minimum ministry involvement is twice a month.

The Responsibilities include:
Camera Operator: Set up, operate, and tear down video cameras.
Video Director: Handle the operation of video recording equipment.

Areas of service include:
Taping of Sunday Services.
Taping of baptisms and various events.
