Baptism

Christian baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Jesus, declaring the believer’s faith in and identification with their crucified, buried, and risen Savior. Baptism is a visible sermon of the gospel of Jesus Christ, identifying the Christian with his death, burial, and resurrection.

What is Baptism?

Baptism is symbol of a restored relationship with God through faith in Jesus and the total salvation that he has provided for us. When you are baptized, you are declaring to God’s people that you identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus and demonstrating your desire to live an entirely new kind of life in Christ.

Who should be Baptized?

If someone has made a genuine profession of faith, then he or she ought to be baptized (Matthew 28:18-19). If your faith is in Jesus, we encourage you to follow his command to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in him. We would love to walk with you through considering this beautiful opportunity to announce the change that has taken place in your life, and proclaim that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.

If you haven't made a commitment to Jesus, we would still love to hear from you to answer any questions you may have and help you to learn more about what it means to be a Christian.

How do I take this step?

Baptisms take place the first weekend of every month at each of our four services. If you are thinking about getting baptized please email or call a pastor can walk through the steps with you.
